Firstly, What Is Faithfulness?

When we talk about being faithful, it’s not just about staying physically loyal. It’s really about keeping an emotional bond and always supporting one another. Even though the media might break it down into simple lists or rankings, true marital faithfulness involves personal choices and the influence of society.

According to the Pew Research Center, 78% respondents from 40 countries noted that cheating is unacceptable in healthy relationships. I also investigated how the US couples approach faithfulness. As per the General Social Survey (GSS), about 20% of men and 13% of women reported lifetime extramarital sex, which is among the highest rates in the world. That is why, as I see from my practice and based on surveys, international couples are more loyal to each other.

Basics of loyalty:

  • Emotional loyalty: Consistently being there for one another through life’s ups and downs.
  • Physical exclusivity: Maintaining a mutually agreed-upon boundary on sexual relationships.
  • Intellectual and social devotion: Sharing common values, interests, and a vision for the future.

Fidelity is not just one isolated quality of “faithful wives” or “faithful husbands” but rather is a quality that develops with each relationship. My work with couples—especially those bridging different cultures—has shown that while statistics can offer insights, people’s experiences and mutual understanding are at the center of lasting relationships.

So, why are the most loyal people in the world? Multiple clients ask this question. Here’s a top rating of countries that are against cheating based on surveys. And I support it, relying on what I witness in my practice.

Nevertheless, it doesn’t mean that it is pointless to seek loyal wives in another country. Each case is individual; there are so many different ladies in the world, so it is definitely worth looking for your partner wherever you want (based on which nationality you prefer).

Which Countries Have the Most Faithful Wives?

Global Loyalty Trends: Where to Meet the Most Loyal Girl in the World?

The recent General Social Survey (GSS) suggests that approximately 87% of married women report strong faithfulness. However, ethnic diversity and regional differences within the country introduce a wide variance in these numbers. So, which countries have the most loyal women in the world? Let’s consider the top places in different regions, the features of women living there, and the best dating sites to meet them (based on my experience and my clients’ recommendations).

  • Turkey
Only about 6% admit to cheating. That puts Turk at the top for marital loyalty. The country ranks high on gender balance, so relationships tend to be partnerships rather than those with strict roles.
Want to meet women who seek stability? Use SakuraDate, which includes a large pool of seriously inclined women.
  • Greenland
Women from Greenland are family-oriented and strive to make their relationships healthy and happy. This country has high social trust. That is why the fidelity rate is 88% here.
Looking for Greenland women who value long-term bonds? Try LanaDate, where you can connect with verified profiles worldwide.
  • France
France is known for more liberal views on affairs. Pew Research found that less than half of people there called adultery “morally wrong.”
If you are smitten with French women who are seeking monogamy and love, start with SofiaDate. You will enjoy the chat features on this site with pre-written messages.
  • Mexico

  • Philippines
Infidelity is strongly prohibited in this country, and surveys show a very low tolerance. The law does not allow divorce, which adds to the cultural weight of loyalty.

Does Culture Shape Marital Faithfulness?

Culture greatly influences how we view and practice marital faithfulness. I can highlight three factors that shape loyalty patterns worldwide: old-fashioned and modern values, economic and social factors, and religious beliefs.

Thus, inherited values are still strong in many regions. For example, in Eastern Europe and parts of Asia, a focus on loyalty and family honor often leads to lower rates of infidelity. In the Middle East and North Africa, 94% of Muslims say that intimacy outside of marriage is wrong and should result in penalties. This is one of the highest levels of infidelity disapproval recorded globally. In Western cultures, there’s a mix of old and new ideas, often balancing personal happiness with shared responsibilities.

Financial security, education, and job opportunities all influence relationships. In areas of economic hardship, it can create stress that erodes marriages. Nevertheless, in places with social support structures, like Scandinavia, couples’ confidence in marriage was higher because they thrived in secure and trusting environments. Studies show that in Denmark and Sweden, a high level of equality and social and financial security helps marriages be more long-lasting. In my sessions with Nordic couples, I often see fewer loyalty crises and more emphasis on trust and co-parenting.

Religious and ethical values shape how we view marital loyalty. In many cultures, these beliefs guide behavior and stress the importance of faithfulness, as seen in parts of the Middle East and Latin America.

Peggy Bolcoa

In my work, I see how culture sets the stage, but the actors are still individuals. A woman raised in a loyalty-first culture may still betray if she feels unseen. A man from a more liberal society may stay fiercely faithful if he values trust. Culture makes a big difference when it comes to how people see relationships, but the daily choices they make determine their direction.

What Are the Features of a Truly Faithful Woman?

Country of origin is not a guarantee of faithfulness since many depend on the person themselves. Using the EFT approach in my practice also helped me define the features that immediately show how loyal a person—in our case, a woman—is going to be in a relationship.

The first and most important thing is that she is not addicted to drama and attention. The problem with these traits of behavior is that they often make people seek validation in others if you don’t meet their expectations. And the experience shows that they find this validation through infidelity.

Another pattern to look at is how loyal or honest a person is with others—friends, relatives, or even co-workers. Although we behave differently with different people, the “soul” remains. That’s why if you know your potential partner is unreliable in friend relationships or hypocritical, you will probably face the same fate in a relationship with this person.

Peggy Bolcoa

In my practice, I’ve seen that loyalty is rarely about big gestures. Women demonstrate it in the tiniest details when they answer truthfully, keep a word, and defend their partners even if they are far from being right. That’s where faithfulness lives.

Self-awareness is also crucial because it’s about the ability to take accountability for actions. A potential loyal wife should possess this characteristic because otherwise she will often blame others for her faults and won’t see her mistakes. These mistakes can also include infidelity, which she will justify if she can’t take responsibility for her actions.

Of course, it’s not a sign for people with these cons that they are forever doomed to be cheaters because the work in therapy helps change patterns, but for those who want to build the most trusted relationships in the world, it’s crucial to take these features into account.

Peggy Bolcoa

Another point that I would like to admit is that loyal women don’t want to prove their faithfulness. They just are who they are and behave naturally as they want to behave. I have observed such simplicity in the most loyal couple in the world I have ever met, Josh and Maria. She just contributes her dedication to her marriage, without highlighting it and asking for something in return.

How Does Loyalty Work in International Couples? Example from My Practice

I’ve had the pleasure of working with couples from diverse backgrounds, which has taught me a lot about how different cultures view loyalty.

One memorable couple was from the United States and Eastern Europe. The American husband valued independence, while his Eastern European wife grew up with strong family traditions. In our very first session, both were careful not to misinterpret each other’s values. We soon learned that their differences were not obstacles, but opportunities to grow together.

Over time, the husband came to talk (with admiration) about his wife’s deep-rooted faithfulness and strong family ties, while she felt respected and understood. This experience truly reinforced my belief that understanding and taking into account each other’s values can bring couples closer together.

So, what are the takeaways on building the most trusted relationship in the world when you have a bit of different values?
  • Embracing Each Other’s Cultures
I’ve seen that couples who are open and engaged in learning about each other’s cultures are typically more loyal and happier. For instance, couples who participate in cultural exchange experiences or who take language classes together tend to assimilate and be understanding and respectful of each other’s values.
  • The Power of Talking Openly
Good, honest communication is really important. I once worked with a couple where the wife’s quiet nature was misunderstood by her American partner as a lack of interest. This misunderstanding led to unnecessary doubts. Once we looked into the cultural reasons behind her behavior, they started talking more clearly and rebuilt their strong connection.
  • Online Support Makes a Difference
Many couples today use online counseling and read relationship blogs (including mine) to get help before problems grow. I often suggest trying online self-assessment tools and communication exercises because they really work. When these online resources are combined with personalized therapy, they create a great support system for couples dealing with the challenges of blending different cultures.
Peggy Bolcoa

I have learned that loyalty is rarely about values alone. Wives demonstrate it through everyday actions such as keeping small promises, respecting conflict, and having the courage to repair when hurt. Couples with these habits, even with different values, build the most trusted relationships I have seen.

The Role of Online Search and Data Analytics in Relationship Research—How Does It Help Me in My Practice?

The advent of online search tools and big data analytics has revolutionized how we study and understand relationships. For instance, platforms like Google Trends allow researchers to gauge public interest in topics such as “marital fidelity,” “infidelity prevention,” or “relationship counseling” on a global scale. Thus, with the help of online data, I could define the most loyal country in the world.

  • Pew Research asked people in more than 40 countries if affairs are morally wrong. In Turkey and the US, about nine in ten said yes. In France, fewer than half agreed.
  • Google Trends shows change over time. Searches for how to rebuild trust after infidelity rose almost 40% in the last two years.
  • Statista maps compare countries side by side. They show where cheating is strongly condemned and where it is seen with more tolerance.
  • Therapy rooms reflect the same. More couples come in early now, asking for help before trust breaks completely.

When I share numbers like these, couples often realise they are part of a larger story. But I remind them — statistics are only the backdrop. The real work happens in their daily choices, their honesty, and their care for each other.

Thoughts on the Most Loyal Countries and Faithfulness

After years of working with couples worldwide, I’ve learned that true loyalty—whether emotional, physical, or intellectual—is built on honest communication, respect, and a shared vision for the future.

Nevertheless, when you’re looking for a country to build the most trusted relationship in the world, you need to look at the statistics like the one I provided above—some factors do shape the fidelity picture in regions. And register on those dating platforms where women from the most loyal countries in the world chat.

FAQ

Does a low divorce rate mean loyalty?

It’s quite hard to answer this question because in some countries and cultures, couples don’t divorce because women, mostly, don’t have anywhere to go, being financially limited. Other cultures, like the Philippines, don’t even allow divorce on a governmental level. That’s why I recommend paying attention to the cheating, not the divorce global data.

Is online dating a good option for finding a faithful partner?

That would be an eyewash to say that online dating sites are super effective for meeting a faithful partner because, as the experience shows, people use these websites and apps just to find a one-night stand or some for casual dating. Nevertheless, people using international and marriage-focused services (for example, mail order bride sites) are more serious in their intentions, want to settle down, and, thus, are more likely to stay faithful to their future spouses.
